Party last night was lovely fun. Tina was late to pick me up, but since most of the party was coming along with us in the form of Natalie and Cassandra, it worked out well. Steffie got there before us and I'm guessing she and Julie chatted while they waited for the rest of us. I'm so bad at intros and really excited to see Steffie, but I think everyone knew everyone else's name by the end of the night, so that was good. We had awesome food. I made lentils and potatoes, Tina made a noodle dish, Steffie brought quiche, and Cassandra and Natalie made chocolate raspberry mousse. We also had cake from AJ's that was amazing. It had berry and EDIBLE BALLBEARINGS!!! That made my night for my geeky side. I totally thought that the DW writers were making that up. And then I ended up leaving the cake at Julie's, but oh well. I also got lots of pressies, including the original scroll for On the Road and an alarm clock that talks in Stephen Fry's voice. Tina, that is all kinds of awesome:)

Poor Tina just does not get along with alcohol, so she took a bit of a nap while Steffie and I caught up and Julie took Cassandra and Natalie home. We played apples to apples which Julie lost for once, though we didn't really finish the game and Steffie volunteered to drive me home as Julie was prolly not fit for the road at that point. (Yes, you did mention wanting to marry the Format's music, for some reason I did not think that at all strange.) I had raspberry beer, bacardi, sake, and a screwdriver and was reasonably alert. One day i am going to have to actually get drunk, just to have the experience. The alcohol did make me sleep in til noon, which I hate doing and then I had to spend most of the afternoon at Jan's symphony concert. It was at symphony hall, which was nice, but quite boring. My sleep schedule is going to be a bit strange tonight, but tomorrow I get to use the alarm clock (here's the link to the website for a demo)!

I'm glad you liked it. I thought it was rather cool myself.

I really just shouldn't drink I think. It sucks, but I need to find another way to let loose when we all get together. Passing out at every girl's night is just not the ideal way to spend time with friends.
